Organizations adopt Databricks to make data more accessible and reliable for AI and analytics, ISG Provider Lens® report says

Enterprises in Brazil are increasingly adopting the Databricks platform to unify data environments and enable large-scale AI implementation, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® Databricks Ecosystem Partners report for Brazil finds that organizations are reassessing existing IT foundations to address persistent inefficiencies, rising data complexity and stricter regulatory expectations while aligning technology initiatives with business performance goals.

"Brazilian enterprises are adopting Databricks to create a unified foundation for analytics and AI that can overcome the limitations of legacy data infrastructure," said Steve Hall, chief AI officer, ISG. "While digital maturity remains uneven in Brazil, companies in some industries, including retail and financial services, are realizing the strategic value of data."

The longstanding fragmentation of data sources in many enterprises has limited visibility across operations, increasing costs and reducing the value companies can derive from data insights. By addressing these challenges, organizations are improving data accessibility and lowering infrastructure complexity. The Databricks lakehouse architecture allows teams to analyze structured and unstructured data together, resulting in faster insights and more consistent decision-making.

Companies in Brazil are placing greater emphasis on improving data quality and addressing technical debt as they expand AI initiatives. Poor data quality and outdated applications have slowed progress in deploying advanced analytics. Ensuring reliable data inputs and scalable systems are central goals of data modernization efforts. In the financial sector, institutions are applying these capabilities to real-time fraud detection and more accurate credit risk analysis. Retail enterprises are using advanced analytics to improve demand forecasting and deliver more personalized customer experiences, resulting in measurable gains in efficiency and revenue.

Many enterprises are also reallocating IT spending toward targeted initiatives that directly improve productivity and resilience. While overall budgets remain stable, investments are increasing in areas such as AI and cybersecurity to address operational risks and improve performance. Manufacturing companies in Brazil are using Databricks to support predictive maintenance and optimize supply chain operations, reducing downtime and operational costs. In agribusiness, enterprises are applying advanced data management and analytics to collect sensor and satellite data and create simulations for functions such as crop forecasting, ISG says.

"As organizations in Brazil strengthen data management and security practices, they are building a foundation for decision-making based less on intuition and more on data," said João Carlo Mauro, lead author of the report. "Databricks ecosystem providers are helping clients bridge gaps in data readiness, architecture and execution to translate analytical capability into repeatable business performance."

The report also explores other trends affecting data platform adoption in Brazil, including the growing importance of data engineering talent development and the impact of Brazil's General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD).

For more insights into the challenges faced by enterprises using Databricks in Brazil, along with ISG's advice for addressing them, see the ISG Provider Lens Focal Points briefing here.

The report evaluates the capabilities of 28 providers across two quadrants: Modernization and AI/ML Enablement Services and Managed Data and Optimization Services.

The report names Accenture, act digital, AI/R, BRQ, Capgemini, CI&T, Dataside, Deal, Deloitte and EY as Leaders in both quadrants. It names IBM as a Leader in one quadrant.

In addition, BlueShift Brasil, GFT, Indicium AI and MadeInWeb are named as Rising Stars — companies with a "promising portfolio" and "high future potential" by ISG's definition — in one quadrant each.
