John Moore, Cormetech's Chairman of the Board announced that Cormetech, a leading manufacturer of SCR Catalyst and Carbon Capture Adsorbers and Services for the emissions control industry, is appointing Patricia Martinez as the new President & CEO, effective August 19th, 2024. This strategic leadership transition comes as Mike Mattes retires from the role of President & CEO to assume the position of Chairman of the Cormetech Board of Directors. John Moore said, "I am excited for Patricia and Mike to collaborate and eager to continue to support in my continued role as a Cormetech Board Member."

Patricia brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of growing businesses in the natural gas value chain across all major energy markets. Since 2021, she has led the delivery of low-carbon energy solutions, with a particular focus on Electrification, Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS), Bio Energy, and Hydrogen. Currently Patricia serves on the Boards of NOV (NYSE:NOV) and Par Pacific (NYSE:PARR). Patricia has spent over 25 years in the industry, which includes stints at Dupont, Shell Oil, and TPG backed Valerus Compression Services which was sold to Enerflex (NYSE:EFX). At Enerflex, Patricia served as President of Latin America for 8 years before being appointed Chief Energy Transition Officer. Patricia is known and respected as a thought leader around global natural gas and its role in the energy transition.

"I am honored to join Cormetech and lead this exceptional team," said Patricia. "I look forward to building on the over 35 years of innovative products and services created by Cormetech and continuing to deliver value to our customers, employees, and shareholders. Point Source Carbon Capture is the pinnacle of industrial decarbonization and Cormetech is positioned to lead the journey."

Mike Mattes has been an integral part of Cormetech (and its predecessor, CoaLogix) for over 17 years, guiding the organizations through significant milestones and achievements. Under his leadership, Cormetech has experienced substantial changes, expanded its product lines in Regeneration, Carbon Capture and Hydrogen, and solidified its position as an industry leader in the emissions control industry. As Chairman of the Board, Mike will continue to provide strategic oversight and support to the executive team.

"It has been my privilege to lead Cormetech and work alongside such a talented group of individuals," said Mike. "I am very confident that Patricia is the absolute right person to expand and globalize our catalyst business and commercialize our carbon capture portfolio of technologies and services. I look forward to supporting her in my new role as Chairman."

"This leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter for Cormetech as it continues to innovate and grow. The Board of Directors is confident these changes will build on the company's strong legacy and drive it to new heights" said Edoardo Bugnone, Cormetech Board Member.

    About Cormetech

Cormetech is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and lifecycle management of technologies that clean the air of harmful pollutants and carbon dioxide (CO2) linked to climate change.

The company's reputation is built on over three decades of developing and delivering innovative environmental catalysts and CO2 adsorbers, the building blocks of emissions control and carbon capture systems. Cormetech products and services make it possible to balance global energy and infrastructure demands with the need to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, mercury, carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, and CO2. The world's top power, industrial, and marine companies rely on Cormetech selective catalytic reduction (SCR), oxidation, and multi-functional catalysts to cost-effectively meet their compliance standards.
