This Schedule 14D-9 filing relates solely to preliminary communications made before the commencement of a planned tender offer (the “Offer”) by Skyline Merger Sub, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Purchaser”) and a wholly owned
subsidiary of Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A., an Italian società per azioni (“Parent”), for all of the outstanding shares of common stock, par value $0.001 per share, of KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”),
to be commenced pursuant to the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of April 29, 2026, by and among Parent, Purchaser, the Company and KalVista Pharmaceuticals Limited, a private limited company organized under the laws of England and Wales. If
